Email Etiquette
- Most of our members are busy activists;
so please don't use this e-group for idle
thoughts or general "chatter."
- Be respectful of other members, tho of
course you are entitled to disagree with
another's opinion.
- When replying to the group, snip any
extraneous content from the original
email that is not necessary; leave
just enough original text so that other
(or new) members understand what you are
replying to. Definitely strip
yahoo related ad info that appears at the
bottom.
- If you start a new thread, take the time
to write a subject line that clearly
indicates what your email is about. When
you reply to an email, DO NOT
change the subject line.
- If you opt for daily digest
delivery, be sure to change the subject
line of the email, and snip
all but the post/content you are
replying to.
- Be judicious with the reply button! In
fact sometimes it may be more appropriate
to reply to the sender privately, rather
than to the group.
- Signature lines are fine, but please
restrict them to no more than 3 or 4
lines. And no plugs, please. :-)
- Enjoy!
Note: Some members have chosen
"Special Notice" only delivery. If you
are posting an announcement/notice, please start
your subject line with ANN: I will
make sure it goes out as a Special Notice.
Thank you!
