The art of the Children of Burj Al Shamali was
on full display and engaged many people at the
festival.
- Several individuals pledged money for the
children of the camp - at least $300 was
pledged. We can work with our personal
contacts to determine what is the best
way for folks to give money to the camp.
- Visitors painted two large cards to send
to the children of the camp as a show of
solidarity with the people of Burj Al
Shamali refugee camp.
- We exposed probably 150 people to the
story of Palestinian people as refugees
by talking with them and discussing the
children's artwork.
- We passed out nearly 1200 pieces of
literature -- about the Somerville - Burj
Al Shamali - Zouk Tahtani Tri-Sister City
Exchange and other educational materials.
- 25 to 30 new people signed up to
volunteer to help with SDP campaigns.
